Lifeguard Management NYS In-Person Test

Service Description

The New York State Department of Public Health requires individuals who wish to meet the Camp Aquatics Director for NYS Children’s Camp Bathing Facilities requirement to complete an in-person test after completing the Lifeguard Management Online Course. To participate in this in-person testing for the written exam, each participant must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Management certificate that has been completed no more than 90 days prior to the in-person testing session. Successful participants will receive a certificate that is valid for 2 years from the date of the in-person testing session. To meet the New York state requirement, participants must present the Lifeguard Management certificate and the Lifeguard Management Testing Session certificate.

Cancellation Policy

Preregistration is required for all courses.  Full refunds will be given up to 3 days prior to the course start date, minus a $35 processing fee. 25% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations less than 3 days prior to the course start date, minus a $35 processing fee. 75% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the course start date, minus a $35 processing fee. NO refund will be given after course start date (to include but not limited to: failure to complete online blended learning material, failure of prerequisites, failure of course, not showing up on time, no-show's, illness, or disruptive behavior. However, you can take the next class FREE of charge until you successfully pass or date exceeds 6 months after original course start date.$50 service fee for all returned checks. $50 service fee for all requested courses with less than 5 participants. ​NO refunds will be given for behavioral issues. At Aquatic Safety, the safety of our instructors, as well as our participants, is the top priority; as a result, disruptive behavior is prohibited and will not be tolerated. Disruptive behavior includes but not limited to being disrespectful, offensive, threatening, bullying, harassing or acting abusively, sleeping in class, texting/using electronic devices during class, or any other behavior deemed inappropriate by Aquatic Safety staff and/or facilities.   NO refunds will be given for any pre-course assignments not completed by the student prior to the first day of class. NO refunds on group rates if students/employees do not show up for class, fail the course, or any other action resulting in students/employees not receiving course completion certification.  Registration and payment for any course does not guarantee passing course and/or receiving certification of completion.   Please arrive to class early as catching up on missed material will be hard. The doors will close at START of class and participants will be considered absent from class, no exceptions. No refund will be provided.  ​Classes require a minimum number of participants to run. For low enrollment courses, the class will be canceled. Participants will be notified and given the choice to enroll in another upcoming course or offered a full refund. NO refund will be given for any course books or pocket masks purchased. NO refund will be given for any online fees, online only courses, or fees paid directly to third party companies (ARC, AHA, HSI).
