To pay with cash, check or money order, please notify us via email for payment arrangements.  â€‹

Please note that registration and purchase of any course does not guarantee passing the course and/or receiving a certification of completion. Registration purchase only provides admission into the class.

​ARC/AHA COURSES:

  • Preregistration is required for all courses. 

  • Full refunds will be given up to 3 days prior to the course start date, minus a $35 processing fee.

  • 25% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations less than 3 days prior to the course start date, minus a $35 processing fee.

  • 75% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the course start date, minus a $35 processing fee.

  • NO refund will be given after course start date (to include but not limited to: failure to complete online blended learning material, failure of prerequisites, failure of course, not showing up on time, no-show's, illness, or disruptive behavior. However, you can take the next class FREE of charge until you successfully pass or date exceeds 6 months after original course start date.

  • NO refund will be given for any course books or pocket masks purchased.

  • NO refund will be given for any online fees, online only courses, or fees paid directly to third party companies (ARC, AHA, HSI).

  • $50 service fee for all returned checks.

  • $50 service fee for all requested courses with less than 5 participants.

Please arrive to class early as catching up on missed material will be hard. The doors will close at START of class and participants will be considered absent from class, no exceptions. No refund will be provided.

Classes require a minimum number of participants to run. For low enrollment courses, the class will be canceled. Participants will be notified and given the choice to enroll in another upcoming course or offered a full refund.

​PHTA® COURSES:

  • Preregistration is required for all courses.

  • Full refunds will be given 2 weeks prior to the first day of the course, minus a $35 processing fee.

  • NO refunds will be given less than 2 weeks of the scheduled first day of the course. Participants who are unable to attend the scheduled class can transfer to another day with a $50 processing fee. Transfers must be requested at least 72 hours (3 days) before the start of the enrolled class.

  • NO refunds will be given for failure to attend.

  • NO refunds will be given for failure of the course.

  • NO refunds will be given for any online training portions, no exceptions.

  • NO refunds will be given for course materials.

  • $50 service fee for all returned checks.

  • $50 service fee for all requested courses with less than 5 participants.

SWIM LESSONS:

  • NO refunds will be given for Private Swim Lessons.

  • For Group Swim Lessons: 25% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations 72 hours (3 days) prior to the course start date.  If one (1) class has been attended, there will be a 35% cancellation fee in addition to a $15 service charge fee.  If two (2) classes were attended, there will be a 35% cancellation fee in addition to a $30 service charge fee.  NO refunds will be given after three (3) classes have been attended.  

  • Swim lessons missed due to the participant's fault will not be made up.

  • If the participant is more than 15 minutes late, swim lessons will be canceled due to the participant's fault and will not be made up.

  • Swim lessons canceled due to inclement weather will be made up ONLY if the lesson has not been taught halfway through the time allotted.

  • Private Swim Lessons needing to be re-scheduled must be requested 24 hours in advance.  Any notice less than 24 hours cannot be rescheduled.

  • Private Swim Lessons must be used within 90-days of purchase.

  • Swim lessons canceled due to behavioral issues will not be made up.

​ALL REGISTRATIONS:

  • NO refunds will be given for behavioral issues. At Aquatic Safety, the safety of our instructors, as well as our participants, is the top priority; as a result, disruptive behavior is prohibited and will not be tolerated. Disruptive behavior includes but not limited to being disrespectful, offensive, threatening, bullying, harassing or acting abusively, sleeping in class, texting/using electronic devices during class, or any other behavior deemed inappropriate by Aquatic Safety staff and/or facilities.  

  • NO refunds will be given for any pre-course assignments not completed by the student prior to the first day of class.

  • NO refunds on group rates if students/employees do not show up for class, fail the course, or any other action resulting in students/employees not receiving course completion certification. 

  • Registration and payment for any course does not guarantee passing course and/or receiving certification of completion.  

  • All approved refunds may take up to 30-days to process.

​MEDIA CONSENT:

The participant and/or legal guardian 18 years or older, if the participant is a minor, hereby give consent to be photographed or videotaped and all pictures/videos in any form of format will be used solely for benefit of media, marketing, advertisement, illustration, trade or promotional for Aquatic Safety.

PRIVACY POLICY:  

At Aquatic Safety, your privacy is very important to us. Any information gathered is only what you provide when you make purchases and requests. This includes your name, address, phone number, mailing address, and a credit card or other bank information. This information is only to provide you the services needed to transact your purchases. This information is confidential and never sold to outside vendors. Only partners (i.e. American Heart Association, American Red Cross, credit companies) have access to your information in order to complete your transactions.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER:

Aquatic Safety, instructors, and/or training facilities are not responsible for any participant's personal belongings that are lost, stolen, or damaged. In the event of an injury, I agree to release and hold harmless Aquatic Safety, instructors, and/or training facilities responsible from any and all liability, claims, demands, expenses that may occur, and are not responsible for any injuries that may occur in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of Aquatic Safety. However, I hereby authorize Aquatic Safety instructors to act for me/my child according to their best judgment and ability in any emergency requiring medical attention and provide care if needed, and/or call an ambulance. I also give permission to use my medical insurance coverage information if deemed appropriate, that it is your financial responsibility, and that Aquatic Safety, its instructors, and/or facilities assume no financial responsibility. I understand that Aquatic Safety has programs that are physically and emotionally demanding, potentially dangerous, and therefore involves certain risks of physical injury. I recognize that there is a significant risk in any activity associated with aquatics, including but not limited to: sprains and strains, wind/sunburn, hypothermia, broken bones, chipped teeth, pulled muscles, cuts, bruises, fatality, drownings, or other injuries/symptoms caused by exposure to cold and/or inclement weather while participating in water sports or traveling to and from the activity site. I recognized that all hazards and dangers associated with this activity cannot be foreseen. I understand that I/my child will engage in activities such as water play, instruction, and swimming. Knowing the inherent risks, dangers, and rigors involved in swimming lessons, water aerobics, and other pool program activities including but not limited to those caused by the terrain, the weather, my athletic and physical condition, and other participants: I acknowledge that I/my child are physically able to engage in the moderate to vigorous activities, which the pool involves. I understand that participants will be supervised only during class hours and that I am solely responsible for inappropriate behavior in the swimming pool, classroom area or locker room areas, show disregard for Aquatic Safety instructors, facility rules, become a danger to self or others, etc. I declare that I/my child, to the best of my knowledge, are in good health and able to participate in the programs that Aquatic Safety is offering. I will inform the instructor/Aquatic Safety staff of any special needs that I have. I agree and hereby state that I am solely responsible for my own physical and emotional well-being. I am aware and understand that all of the program actives are strictly voluntary, and it is my own choice to participate in each activity to whatever degree I deem appropriate after due consideration of my own physical health, abilities, and medical condition.

TRANSPORTATION:

Aquatic Safety, instructors, and/or training centers are not responsible for providing participant transportation to and/or from any course location. Aquatic Safety, instructors, and/or training facilities are not responsible for any injury that may occur during transportation to and from any course location, this includes but not limited to any participant who chooses to leave premises during scheduled class breaks.

Aquatic Safety reserves the right to remove any participant from class who violates our policies. No refund will be issued and no make-up class will be permitted for participants removed from class.
