Our goal is to ensure everyone leaves our training knowing how to perform all skills learned from our courses.  If at any time you have questions about material learned in class, feel free to email or call us as long as you maintain your certification.  We are committed to being here for you both inside and outside the classroom.

We offer all of the below American Heart Association courses.  After successful completion of the course, you will receive a course completion certification card valid from the AHA.

Bloodborne Pathogens Training

The primary purpose of the American Heart Association HeartSaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is to train employees on how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials.

This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens (BBP) training when paired with site-specific instruction. 

This course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as:

  • Correctional Officers

  • Childcare workers

  • Security guards

  • Maintenance workers

  • School personnel

  • Hotel housekeepers

  • Health and fitness club staff

  • Tattoo artists.

AHA’s course uses the PACT acronym (Protect, Act, Clean, Tell) and slogan, “Make a PACT, Know How to Act,” to help students learn and easily recall bloodborne pathogens training.   
Students learn how to:

•  Protect themselves from exposure to bloodborne pathogens

•  Act when exposed to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace

•  Clean themselves and the area when exposed to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace

•  Tell or report any exposure to blood or blood-containing materials in the workplace 




Approximately 2 hours.


To successfully complete the HeartSaver Bloodborne Pathogens course, candidate must:

  • Attend and actively participate in all course sessions.

  • Demonstrate competency in all required skills.


HeartSaver Bloodborne Pathogens is valid for 1 year.
