Responding to Emergencies Review

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Responding to Emergencies (RTE) Review course is to give participants the opportunity to review the course content within a formal class setting. The format optimizes a participant’s ability to successfully complete the knowledge and skill tests. The responsibility for preparing for the written exam is shared by the instructor and participant.

PREREQUISITES

Participant must possess an American Red Cross Responding to Emergencies (RTE).

PARTICIPANTS MUST MEET ALL PREREQUISITES TO TAKE THE COURSE.

LENGTH

Approximately 14-20 hours

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To successfully complete the Responding to Emergencies (RTE) Review course, candidate must:

  1. Attend and actively participate in all course sessions.

  2. Demonstrate competency in all required skills and scenarios.

  3. Successfully pass each section of the final written exam with a minimum score of 80% (83% for CPR-Adult, Child and Infant). 

CERTIFICATE ISSUED/ VALIDITY PERIOD

Responding to Emergencies is valid for 2 years.
