The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Review course is to give individuals the opportunity to review the course content within a formal class setting. The format optimizes a participant's ability to successfully complete the knowledge and skill evaluation. The responsibility for preparing for the testing scenario and final exam is shared by the instructor and the participants.
PREREQUISITES
Participant must possess an American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support certificate (or equivalent).
PARTICIPANTS MUST MEET ALL PREREQUISITES TO TAKE THE COURSE.

Approximately 4 hours, 45 minutes
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To successfully complete the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Review course, candidate must:

Attend the entire course and participate in all class lessons.

Actively participate in all course activities, including assuming various roles during skill practice and practice scenarios.

Demonstrate competency in all required skills.

Demonstrate competency in leading a team response during the team response testing scenarios.

Successfully pass the final exam with a minimum grade of 84 percent.
CERTIFICATE ISSUED/ VALIDITY PERIOD
Pediatric Advanced Life Support is valid for 2 years.
